James Gadson is known as the most recorded R&B Drummer in the business. He joins Dan to talk about playing with the Temptations in the 70’s to Paul McCartney in 2005. Dan asks James what he thinks is the definition of R&B music today vs. back in the “old days,” and James talks about the importance of learning to read music. A bonus – he takes us into his control room where he has a Motown board he bought from Smokey Robinson and a 16-track tape machine he got from Marvin Gaye.
